Welcome To
TAAC
Hello and welcome! I’m so happy that you found us!
I’m Debra Stevenson, the President of the African American Club of The Villages. I’ve been an active member of TAAC ever since I moved here 12 years ago. We live in one of the largest active adult communities in the United States; situated in Central Florida.
The African American Club of The Villages (TAAC) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization that sponsors social and cultural activities to promote goodwill and friendship among our members and members of other organizations in our area. TAAC supports civic activities, and we provide scholarships to deserving college-bound students in the local high schools.
We hope you will plan to join us and get involved in the many fun activities that we offer. Some of our monthly activities include Saturday bowling, card games twice each week, Saturday golf scrambles, and mentoring high school students. Each year we sponsor a student scholarship luncheon, Juneteenth celebration, Christmas dance and New Year’s Eve party. That’s not all! TAAC members fulfill our civic duty by participating in the Sumter County Adopt- a- Precinct Program. We volunteer at the election phone bank and operate the voting precinct.
Our members may live in a retirement community, but we are very active! We also show love and support to one another during times of need. We are truly family!
Welcome and we hope that you will join us!
